With any of the application of Microsoft Office 2016 select Options from the File ribbon. In the Options dialogue box select the Language tab. There must be a couple of languages which you can. If the language accessory pack includes proofing tools for that language, the Proofing column shows Installed. Under Choose Display and Help languages, you can change the default display and help languages for all your Office applications.
Do a full repair open Control Panel (not Stettings of Win10!!!) - software installed - select Microsoft Office - click Change. Then it will ask you for a fast or a total repair, select the total one and then re-install your desired Language. In our multicultural word, we often find ourselves within Microsoft Office applications, the necessity to work in other languages rather than our native language. We can even set both the Display Language and the Editing Language to be the same, or we can make them to be in different languages if we want. Microsoft Office 2010 language packs enable people to convert the display language of Microsoft Office 2010 to the language of their choice. The language packs also feature other changes like the help and support system, proofing tools etc. Download Office 2010 language packs from direct download links given here. Language/region- The name of the language that will be displayed in the UI. All 38 language packs are available for Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016. In Windows Server 2012 the user interface (UI) is localized only for the 18 languages listed in bold. Language/region tag- The language identifier based on the language tagging conventions of. Some language packs are sharable and some are not. Use the download links in the table below to download the language packs that can be shared. To use Microsoft Office in your preferred language, you can download an Office language pack.
The Office 2016 Multi-Language Pack includes Proofing Tools and other support for other languages. There are two main steps to getting your additional language.
If you want the Language Pack for Office 2016 on a computer that you manage, such as a personally owned computer, refer to the Language Accessory Pack for Office 2016 article.
Step 1: In?stall the Office Multi-Language Pack from Software Center
The Microsoft Office 2016 Multi-Language Pack is available to your CAS ITS managed computer via Software Center. After clicking Install in Software Center, you will be prompted to select a Microsoft Product.
There are three products supported by this Pack:
- Microsoft Office 2016
- Applies To: Excel 2016, Word 2016, Outlook 2016, PowerPoint 2016, OneNote 2016, Publisher 2016, Access 2016, and more ..
- Microsoft Project 2016
- Microsoft Visio 2016
From the list, select the one product that you want to install with the corresponding language. For example, if I want to install Spanish for Microsoft Word 2016, you would select:
- Microsoft Office Language Pack 2016 - Spanish/Espa?ol
Click Continue after you selected your one product with the desired language from the list.
If you agree the terms of the agreement, check the box and then click Continue again.
Click Install Now to begin the install.
In our testing, the install process only takes a few minutes; time may vary depending on the language selected, speed of your network connection, and speed of your computer. After the installation is complete, you will see a 'successfully installed' message, as shown:
Click Close to exit the installer.
If you have additional products and/or languages you want to install, you can re-run the install (click Reinstall) via Software Center. Complete the installation of the new language or product using the steps above.
Step 2: Configure Office language
After you install the language accessory pack, you must configure Office for your new language preferences.- Click the Start Menu.
- Type 'Office Lang', in the Search programs and files field.
- Click the Office 2016 Language Preferences program that shows up.
- Under Choose Editing Languages, make sure that the language you want to use is added to this list.
- If the language accessory pack includes proofing tools for that language, the Proofing column shows Installed.
- Under Choose Display and Help languages, you can change the default display and help languages for all your Office applications.
- If the language accessory pack contained display and help for the language, you should see it listed here.
- Restart all Office programs for your changes to take effect.
Language packs add additional display, help, and proofing tools to Office. You can install additional language accessory packs after installing Microsoft Office. If a language accessory pack is described as having partial localization, some parts of Office may still display in the language of your copy of Microsoft Office.
If a language is listed only once, for example German, then that pack includes the tools for all countries/regions that use that language.
Important: If your organization installed Office on your computer, contact your IT department to install any language packs.
If you're an administrator..
If you're an administrator who has deployed a volume licensed version of Office 2016 to your users, you can download an ISO image of the language packs, language interface packs, and proofing tools from the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC).
If you're an administrator who has deployed a volume licensed version of Office 2019 to your users, you can deploy language packs by using the Office Deployment Tool.
Step 1: Install the language accessory pack
Select the version of Office you're using from the tabs below, then select the language desired from the drop-down list. Then choose the appropriate architecture (32-bit or 64-bit) from the download links provided. If you're not sure what you're using see What version of Office am I using?
Once the file is downloaded, double-click it to install it.

Step 2: Configure Office language
After you install the language accessory pack, you must configure Office for your new language preferences.
Microsoft Word English Language Pack
Open any Office program and then click File > Options > Language.
Under Choose Editing Languages, make sure that the language you want to use is added to this list.
If the language accessory pack includes proofing tools for that language, the Proofing column shows Installed.
Under Choose Display and Help languages, you can change the default display and help languages for all your Office applications.
If the language accessory pack contained display and help for the language, you should see it listed here.
Restart all Office programs for your changes to take effect.
You can change the default language for all your Office applications in the Set the Office Language Preferences dialog. For more information, see Add a language or set language preferences in Office.
