Review this product
The film captured my attention, partly due to Ash Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, both were captivating and carried the story. I even have the songs in my head still..and that only happens occasionally.
I don't know much about Indian culture but I did enjoy getting to see something un-American, to the point of deciding that maybe I should stick to World Cinema rather than Hollywood.
Personally I will be watching it many more times and encourage anyone who hasn't seen it yet to get a move on!

Although I generally find Bollywood films a bit boring - well the musical, sing-songy ones anyway - this one really hit the mark for me.
It was really entertaining and I have trouble getting the main song out of my head!
The plot is quite simple and you know where it's going right from the start, but that is the only negative I could find in it.
Otherwise very entertaining fare, and I'd recommend it particularly for anyone that's new to Bollywood.

I really like the part when Namrata (Aishwarya) & Raj (Abhishek) sing out their feelings for each other it was very romantic & when towards the end Namrata is shouting at Sanjeev (Adi's real father)& decides to choose Raj over him was very heavy drama.
After seeing this film & Aishwarya Rai's performance, it has really attracted me want to watch more Bollywood movies, especially with Aishwarya Rai starring in it.In fact, I just watched Bride & Prejudice & its a great film the same director of 'Bend It Like Beckham, Gurinder Chadha. She is such a genius, mixing Bollywood style with Western movie style.

The story was simple. As excepted the acting was excellent.Aish proves that she is a beauty with brains. Her confrontation between Araax Khan in the climax is note worthy and will leave a good impression.Abhisek proves that his father was still not only the reason he his getting offers. He has talent all over. The kid is really good through.Others are fine.I liked the Abhi Ash combination here much more than in Guru and Umrao Jaan.Comedy scenes, hilarious dialogs are all terrific
There are 6 songs in this movie but they are a mixed feeling.3 are great(Tumhe Aaj Maine,Aachi, and the title song) but other the 3(ABBG,Kehta Hai,Baat Meri) are weak.Their Picturisations are really good through. The best song being Aachi.oh,i should also the chemistry between the leads are portrayed well.
Its a great movie though, surely, give it a chance

I think the film dealt with the characters with an emotional depth you don't often see in Hollywood movies, and it did so with a sense of humour and uplifting whimsy. Very much a must-see film!

In many ways, this movie reminds me of the films that Doris Day and Rock Hudson put out, like Pillow Talk. Abhishek Bachchan (Raj) has the suave sophistication of a Cary Grant. He plays the role of Raj with charm, class, and sophistication. Aishwarya Rai (Namrata) has the beauty, intelligence, and charm of an Ingrid Bergman. The woman is multi-talented. Rai can act, sing, dance, and speak 3-5 language fluently. You may think these comparisons are a stretch. Watch this movie and see for yourself. I'm the biggest fan of both Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman, and these two delightful, Bollywood actors, in my opinion for this particular movie, deserve the comparison.
When was the last time you found a fun, entertaining film for the whole family that could also inspire? More and more of these little Bollywood gems are coming to light. Most the world is already more than aware of them. It's only here in America that we are still a bit in the dark when it comes to International Cinema.
This is a wonderful tale of Raj, who is an Indian man living and working in the United States. The furthest thing from his mind is settling down and getting married. His young cousin is getting married in India. Raj knows better than to attend, because he knows that his Uncle will have a line of potential brides lined up for him a mile long! Nikki, his cousin, brilliantly schemes a way to get him there as she bawls to him on the phone that she needs his help to break up the marriage because she doesn't love the guy. It isn't true, of course, which leads to some hilarious misunderstandings when Raj does go and tries to find an excuse to break up the marriage.
In his attempt to get to India as quickly as possible, Raj meets Namrata at the airport. She is also going to India. Little does he realize that she is attending the wedding as well as she is a fashion designer working for Raj's uncle. Raj finds a way to get Namrata to give him her airline ticket by making up an incredible story about his dying son! The fun has only just begun, as Raj's uncle does, indeed, find a way to get Raj to meet eligible women. He decides to send Namrata along to help. The way Raj sabotages his chances with these women is brilliant and downright hilarious! Obviously, we understand what is coming next: he begins to develop feelings for Namrata, even though she isn't aware of it for a time.
This may seem like a typical storyline, but there is a twist to this story that I won't mention in this review for those who haven't seen the film yet.
The song and dance numbers are wonderful in this movie. As explained by a popular Bollywood actor, 'A movie without music and dance is like a movie without special effects for westerners.' This movie is just pure, genuine fun. It does, indeed, carry a powerful message about the perception of women, and hopefully, this might serve to influence the Asian belief system about women in many of their societies. What does it mean to be a husband? What does it mean to be a wife? Are they simply titles or should they mean something? Every now and then, I find myself watching the old classic films. The stories and performances had a wonderful charm that I find is sadly lacking in most of today's films. I'm happier now that I can start setting my sights on Bollywood films for the same thing.
If these are the kinds of movies you love and enjoy, then you simply can't go wrong with Kuch Naa Kaho. You'll find it to be one of the most wonderful three hours you've spent watching a film in a long time. At least, I did.

Absolutely StunningIt's a fun film, and its a musical with a modern edge (I adore the dance club number). While Hollywood is still doing musicals stuck in earlier eras (clearly just trying to emulate the musicals of the 40s and 50s), Bollywood has apparently picked up the torch and carried on.
This film is sensitive, endearing, and doesn't have to be an accomplishment of modern cinema to be so. It is reviving an genre that I thought was lost forever (the classic musical) for me. It is worthy of Fred Estere.

'abs bachan' is not good looking but has put a lot of hard work into the film and has tried not to sponge off his father but be remembered for his own talent.
the songs are fab and are appealing to all overall this is a great film for all the family to see. please don't listen to the woman who has posted the other comment.

A movie should suspend reality for a few moments and bring us into their world! They should make us feel the range of emotions that make us feel alive.
This movie has fulfilled many of these things. Though there are short comings in this film they can easily be over looked because of the great fun and beauty that is presented here! The little I have seen of Abhisek in these 2 films make my really like him. I think he is really cool and sometimes watching him do the musical numbers makes me wish I could up these doing these dances and having all that fun! Watch this movie and have some fun!

They will spend so much of their energy on scouting locations, hiring casting coups, marketing the film to the distributors, selling music rights, selling television rights, recording the 7-8 jingles (mostly it is their length that qualifies them as songs), color-coordinating the costumes and production designs, creating hoardings and posters and teasers.. but the script and the characters are of no importance. You can make films to please the box-office that don't completely massacre your intelligence as well and still have the final product (that's what they seem to call it, because they don't make films anymore ) be intrinsically Bollywoodish.
Aishwariya Rai is a living example of the depth of human-like behaviour expected from 'Bollywood heroines'. She has flawless complexion, dancing skills and color coordination skills. And just like your pet dog, she can smile, cry, be silent and get all cutesy, on cue. But when it comes to character portrayal, she wouldn't know where to begin because neither her nor the script are interested in it.
According to the Bollywood Bible, God created man, and then he recreated a better version and then another and another till he perfected man. And then, since God was not the only perfect entity (man joining him in that elite club) anymore, they both got together and created woman. Man gave the design specifications and God having the technical knowhow, adhered to them - Man argued that he would have to live with the women so he should have his way. Abhishek Bachan's character in the movie is one such man. He just can't do no wrong - and also he can right all the wrongs done by Ash's character. Abhishek Bachan is an actor with tremendous potential - which is evident even from the limited scope his films have given him to perform, so far. But either he doesn't want to choose better scripts or perhaps they are not coming his way yet. Hopefully we will see him show us what he is capable of before his streak of commercial duds sinks him into oblivion.
Rohan Sippy, son of Ramesh Sippy, has inherited the father's name but not his knack for filmmaking. But then Sippy Sr. had Salim-Javed as writers. Hopefully in future he will have the at least the guts to do something more refreshing and entertaining.
Oh by the way, script seems to have been created on the sets which Sharmishtha Roy picked up on her way to the shoot from one of the Chopra or Johar films. The cinematography has been taken from a template derived from the DDLJ, KKHH and KKKG stable. And the talented composers Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have given their worst soundtrack to date I believe. Well at least it blends in with the rest of the dismal elements of the film.
If want to watch a romantic comedy, watch Chupke Se instead. 4/10.

Admittedly Ash is no better but at least she is divinely beautiful that we can completely forgive all her transgressions. The same unfortunately cannot be said about Aby B as he seems to have inherited all the wrong genes from his progenitors.
The script is horrible and apart from Satish Shah the acting was horribly cruel to the people watching. Some bearable songs(note: I have stretched my definition of bearable for this case).
rating: -*(minus should be allowed. as I would like my money back and some, for the torture doled out to me)
Run far away or watch Glitter/Gigli instead, unless you are an Ash fan or an Abhishek B fan (god have mercy on your sense of preference)

Cast also incudes Arbaaz Khan, Parth Dave, Satish Shah, Suhasini Mulay, Jaspal Bhatti, and Himani Shivpuri, among others.
This is an enjoyable romantic-comedy-drama, with a mostly well-written plot. The music is average and less, with the exception of the title song. Choreography is simplistic, due, I'm sure, to the fact that Bachchan is not the best dancer. Rai is vivacious, sassy, and credible. Bachchan is charming, funny, and believable. Arbaaz Khan, in his negative role, is excellent. Child actor Parth Dave is convincing, as well, and manages important scenes professionally. The only problem with this film is that the ending is too quick and neat, lessening the impact of the overall drama. It's still one I would recommend, and will probably re-watch.

The good news is the acting is as good as can be expected with the material, the dancing is perfectly well-executed, the little boy is adorable, there's an interesting plot dimension (a philandering husband in a country where divorce is uncommon) and the leading couple have great chemistry (they are now married off-screen).
The bad news is that the whole film is completely daft, the characters make unsympathetic and unrealistic choices, the husband is a two- dimensional pantomime villain (boo hiss), the choreography's half-baked, there's a weird plot summary scene in the middle for no reason whatsoever, the Coca Cola product placements are eye-rollingly tiresome, the 'comedy' scenes are forced and embarrassing and the whole film is at least forty-five minutes too long. It's like directing by numbers in a lot of places, too: one scene you'll get an interesting shot of someone lit from underneath and think 'hmm, maybe this bloke's OK' and then he'll have a scene where, seriously, the good guy's wearing all white and the bad guy's wearing all black. Even Disney doesn't do that.
I actually quite like Kuch Naa Kaho. I don't watch a lot of rom coms, but I like the songs in this and the fact that it's not Western and the story's not typical. It has too many bad points for me to ever seriously recommend it to anyone to expand their film knowledge, but I would say that it's a cheerful, inoffensive thing to watch while doing the ironing.

Kuch Na Kaho Full Movie
Warning: SpoilersThe only sensible moment is when Raj fells for Namrata, cause who would not fell for Ash? Her beauty covers for her lack of acting skills (or at least an idea of how to make Namrata interesting) perfectly, unfortunately Abhishek is not that successful. There are a few rather embarrassingly long close-ups of him making some ridiculously 'serious' face. And was it only me or did he put on some weight?
The actions of characters make no sense. When she says she's not going to be with him, it comes out of nowhere. When she says she loves him - it's even more out of place.
The worst part of the film is the relationship between Namrata and her husband. She knows she hates the guy, she knows she is a modern woman not caring about tradition yet she lets him treat herself as if she's his belonging for an entire day. And when the guy finally agrees to leave her alone - well the ending is just horribly stupid. Why did he do this then? Nothing has changed between the moment he's sure to stay and when he decides to leave. It seems to be some bizarre BollyDeusExMachina.. ;)
The comedy parts (the other family, the teacher and the bird guy) are too bad to comment on them. They just come out of nowhere and do not add any qualities to the film.
Aishwarya wears some rather ugly clothes all the time which is even worse considering the fact that she plays a designer..
And what's up with the synopsis in the middle? I'd get it if it was of the entire relationship between Namrata and Raj but it's like showing be the same 15 minutes of the movie twice. Rather irritating.
The only good things are two songs: 'Mujhe tum chupke chupke' and 'Kuch naa kaho'. Unfortunately they are ruined by truly stupid choreography. So if you decide to watch this movie do not look at the screen during those two songs - only this'll allow you to appreciate them.
oh! And do not take me wrong: I gave the movie 3 not 1 just because Ash is there.

A too-long excuse for over-the-top Coke product placementKuch Na Kaho Episode 16
The worst thing about this film however was the pathetic attempts by the Coca Cola company to inveigle itself via a series of WAY TOO visible product placements. I found it disturbing and horrifyingly sickening given the status of the multinational in India since the disdain it has shown for the people of Kerala.
